Scoundrels at Sea is a 1954 American pirate adventure film released by PMR, starring Grant Kerouac, Bill Battier, William Rose, Mary Carpenter and a young Roger Moore. The film follows former American Navy captain Oliver Brandon in his efforts to capture a pirate ship off the coast of Florida and is based on the eponymous novel by Joseph Clade released in 1948 and was a sequel to the less-successful American Pirate. The film was a major commercial success despite receiving mixed reviews both upon release and in contemporary times, and resulted in the production of the novel's sequel, Pirates of Louisiana, in 1959, which was widely viewed as a failure.
