Pierre Couderc (18 November 1896 – 6 October 1966) was a French performer who played parts in the movies of the Oz Film Manufacturing Company. Born in Paris, Couderc began as an acrobat; he was cast in the title role of the first Oz Film production, The Patchwork Girl of Oz, when L. Frank Baum reportedly could not find a female performer with the athleticism the part demanded. (He was billed as "the Marvelous Couderc.") He went on to play in the firm's subsequent films The Magic Cloak of Oz and His Majesty, the Scarecrow of Oz (in which he played the Tin Woodman). Couderc also appeared as Sheik Antar in The Last Egyptian.
