The songblade is a sword wielded by the Forgotten of the Xedael Empire. These weapons are cast from a specialized alloy, whose formula is a closely guarded secret of the Temple of the Kolar. Songblades usually possess a blade some thirty-five to ninety centimeters in length, with a hilt of some twenty-five centimeters long. The hilt is generally wrapped in black leather, and the sheathe is created from the same material.
