This creature storms Doubtback and its monster inhabitants in Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2. Unlike othe giant monsters like Wormonger, the Missing Lynx does not wander a set-out route and instead dives down for prey and, because of its humongous size, it's hard to avoid contact with it. Once the main quest is finished, the player can enter its den at daytime and recruit it. It's one of the monsters needed to synthesize the dragon, Orochi.
