Popairamen was a Nintendo manufactured food product that they released prior to entering the toy industry. It was ramen that was littered with Popeye characters on the product. It was ultimately not enough to make much of a profit, and was doomed to failure. Around this time Nintendo also released Dizunifurikka, a food package with fake Disney characters (they were unable to receive the rights) and Instant rice, which likewise was not successful.
