Saints Basilissa and Anastasia (died 68 A.D.) are early Christian martyrs of Rome. According to legend, the two women were students of the Apostles Peter and Paul and of the noble class. They bravely buried the bodies of Christians who had been tortured to death under the reign of Nero. They were eventually arrested and tortured, but refused to forsake Christianity. They were then beheaded with a sword. Their feast is April 15.
