Democratia was the setting of the first simulation of Mock Parliament, running from August 1992 to August 1993, when the country collapsed into anarchy. Prior to this, the country was known as Autocratia (Old), and was an autocracy, but became Democratia on its transition to democracy. Following break-up in 1993 the country suffered several years of civil war before breaking up into Democratia (Modern) and Autocratia (Modern).
