Anette appears as the first gym leader encountered in Pokémon Summer and Winter Versions in the Night Town gym. Trainers who defeat Anette get the Grey Badge, as well as TM41 (Torment ). In the games, she is portrayed as a gloomy character with a harsh look on the world. When the player first enters her gym and battles the other trainers, he/she discovers that Anette is absent. One of the previous trainers states that she may have gone outside again. When the player exits the gym and encounters her, she says that she just isn't in the mood and asks the player to return another time.
