Before this update, the only other place where Dragon scimitars were sold was on Ape Atoll at Daga's Scimitar Smithy. As the place requires tedious effort to reach without Ape Atoll teleport, many people chose to just buy them from the Grand Exchange or other players. Because of this, the quantity demand was higher than the quantity supplied at the fixed price ceiling and thus was very hard to obtain through the Grand Exchange. The street price ran about 120,000 coins with some cases of people offering up to 150,000 coins. The addition of Dealga stabilised this and Dragon scimitars could be easily bought at the Grand Exchange for 60,000 coins.
