Aegis I was eleventh Emperor of the Heracleidae Empire from 794 to 784 BC. The first Persican state was the ancient precursor of modern Diadochia. He was the eldest son of Aristokles I, who was his predecessor. He led several campaigns against Amnion. His power was severely limited by the growing influence of high dignitaries who were the real power in the realm. He was succeeded by his brother, Archidamus I.
