Metta Tharys was a Starfleet officer and geophysicist during the 2380s. In 2381, Tharys and Adrienne Markham were rerunning a test when the USS Enterprise-E became embroiled in a battle with an Acamarian refugee ship and a Betelgeusian argosy.
