Arth Vawr was a god in very ancient Welsh and Celtic legends linked to the constellation of Ursa Major (The Big Bear). His name in Welsh, meant Heavenly Bear. This was one of the earliest inspirations for Arthur, which meant that he was a god in his earliest form.
