Paul Jett is a former NASCAR driver from San Antonio, TX. He competed in two Winston Cup events in his career. Both came in 1972, when Jett raced at Texas World and Talladega Alabama. He finished 18th at Texas World Speedway and 10th at Talladega. He was awarded a trophy for the highest finishing rookie. Jett previously won three SCCA divisional championships (1966, 1967, 1968), and two national championships (1966, 1967) at Riverside, California and Daytona Speedway, Florida. He competed in the 1967 24 Hours of Daytona Race, and was forced out with a blown engine while leading the GT class at 14 hours. Using the same car, he won the GT class at the 12 hours of Sebring, Florida with co-driver Freddie Van Buren. Numerous other short track championships were attained in a variety of racecars
