Kal Penn is an actor. He played Henry Chanoor in the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode "Outsider". Penn is perhaps best known for playing Dr. Lawrence Kutner on House, M.D.. He also had starring roles in the Harold & Kumar movies, and in The Namesake. In April 2009, he put his acting career on hiatus in order to go work for the White House in Barack Obama's administration.
