Splinterson is a patronymic used by the Ninja Turtles in the 4Kids television series. Its use is infrequent and is thus far exclusive to this continuity. Leonardo first mentions that the Ninja Tribunal call him "Leonardo Splinterson" in the voice-over introduction for More Worlds Than One. In Timing is Everything, Donatello addresses an envelope to "Michelangelo Splinterson." Peter Laird had this to say about the patronymic in his notes on More Worlds Than One:
