Lord Valdur Bromathan IV is the current head of the minor Korvosan noble family of House Bromathan. Valdur is a contentious head of House Bromathan in that he is the first family head not to be a member of the Korvosan Guard, instead Valdur serves as a minor priest of Sarenrae at the Korvosan temple of Sarenrae. This split with tradition has isolated Valdur from some of his fellow family members who serve in either the Korvosan Guard or Sable Company, he did however gain his fathers blessing before joining the priesthood which alleviated some familial tension.
