In "Roy Rogers McFreely", an old guy joins Stan and several other renegade homeowners unhappy with Roger's persona of Roy Rogers McFreely's alteration to the bylaws to the Homeowners Association. They engage in "constructive vandalism" to return their neighborhood to its original state by night. As he and Hayley work with Stan to repaint the curbs while trying to avoid setting off motion sensor lights, he gets tired of Hayley caution and tells her of his winning three Battle of the Network Stars competitions and his name. When Roger and his crew strike back, Kaplan dies of natural causes which is momentarily mistakenly identified by Stan for a revenge killing.
