Arathis is an experienced artificer and a former associate of Master Rem. He is arrogant, with a very dismissive tone of voice, but not usually violent unless attacked. He remained loyal to Rem during Tirana's ascendency, and on several occasions helped the Mirith Resistance forces as they battled Tirana's troops. Despite his loyalty, he fell out with Rem and fled the Diabolicals. He asked King N'eroth for asylum, and even presented himself as a potential replacement for Beleth as Royal Mage. He has not been seen in Mirith for some time however, and there are recent reports that he has attacked the Mhara.
