The organization was created in part to defend and support the concept of a monarchy while rejecting colonialism, imperialism, and totalitarianism. Its goals extend to strengthening relations and cooperation between existing monarchies; cataloging, recognizing, and sanctioning monarchs; and interpreting, researching, and providing non-binding advice to governments pertaining to hereditary succession and peerage. Located in Point Dana, Sierra, the organization's namesake, PDG is locally affiliated with the Royalist Party of Sierra with its official patron sponsor Queen Angelina II of Sierra. Her Royal Highness' summer estate in Point Dana is provided for the biannual PDG meeting.
