The Kag'areth was a nest of mutated Colicoids that lived on the planet Balmorra during the Cold War between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. The Kag'areth overtook a facility near Outpost Victory on the Gorinth Plateau and made it into their nest, with the Kag'areth Queen taking up residence in the lower levels. In his efforts to undermine his superior Colonel Sartius, Lieutenant Major Pirrell hired a bounty hunter to attack the nest and kill the queen, thereby riling up the Colicoids.
