A bioneural gel pack is a form of computer technology used by Starfleet which employs biotechnology to increase computing speed and efficiency. It was used in Starfleet's newer classes of starships starting in the 2370s, including the Intrepid and Sovereign-classes. Due to the Federation's relative inexperience with biotechnology, it obtained its bioneural gel from the Kropaslin.
