The Danbury Titans are a minor professional ice hockey team in the Federal Hockey League that begin play for its 2015–16 season. Based in Danbury, Connecticut, the Titans play their home games at the Danbury Ice Arena. The team was awarded as an expansion team after the previous Danbury Whalers franchise was notified that their lease was not being renewed in mid-April 2015 and that they had to be out of the facility by the end of the month. An expansion team was awarded to nearby Brewster, New York which originally took the name Stateline Whalers but were renamed the Brewster Bulldogs a few weeks later.
