He moved to Australia in 1970, and became involved with the Nimrod Theatre Company shortly afterwards. He has received eight nominations for AFI awards (Australian Film Institute), out of the eight he won three of the nominations for A Street to Die, Emerald City and Stingers. Some of his many credits include All Saints, Home and Away, McLeod's Daughters, Quigley Down Under and The Cars That Ate Paris.
