Thomas made his Broadway debut in 2010's The Scottsboro Boys, as Roy and others. He understudied parts in the 2012 revival of Porgy and Bess (including the crab man) and was in the original Broadway cast of Motown the Musical (2013) in several ensemble roles (including Jermaine Jackson and songwriter Lamont Dozier). He reprised the roles when the show returned to Broadway in 2016, having been part of the national tour in the interim.
