The Brazilia was a modified freighter launched in 2083 as a part of the Flotilla, humanity's first manned interstellar colonization effort. Sometime after the destruction of the Palestine, two members of the crew discovered an alien starship following the fleet, and made first contact. Unfortunately, both died before reporting their discoveries back to their vessel.
