On the war-torn planet of Apokolips, in Darkseid's palace, Darkseid brags about his triumphs, but he is still not satisfied, because he desires more power, but he realizes that he cannot conquer earth unless the superheroes of that planet are killed. DeSaad tells Darkseid that he has a plan, that if he brings the superheroes to Apokolips, once his warriors defeat them in battle, he can brainwash them, so that they can be a part of his army of destruction. Darkseid then summons the Parademons, and orders them to bring Batman and Robin to Apokolips, and he tells them that the others will surely follow. They then enter the stargate.
