The Northwest peninsula is a region on Bajor that was mostly uninhabited. In 2370, Haneek suggested to Minister Rozahn that the Skrreea could settle in the northwest peninsula and farm its plains. Projections indicated that the Skrreea would have little luck farming the peninsula and other factors could make the situation worse. (DS9 episode: "Sanctuary")
