The Out Country is a term used to describe a relatively fertile region of the planet of Mar Sara, standing in contrast to regions such as the Wasteland. Courtesy of irrigation techniques, the water being supplied mainly by waterfarms, extensive agriculture had been set up throughout the region. However, with the evacuation of Mar Sara's citizens to concentration points after the protoss attack on Chau Sara, the region quickly became desolate, the crops diminishing due to a lack of water.
