Olympians aren't randomly picked. First, they must win a regional competition. They then must participate in a sectional competition. If they win, they must go to a national competition. If they win then, they are recognized as one of the best in the country and go to the World Championship, where they compete with the best from other countries. Finally, the winners of the World Championship then participate in the Olympics.
