The Second Customer was one of a group of men who happily gathered round Eddie Yeats's ice cream van when he started a sideline selling beers with ice creams on a Sunday in June 1979. The man praised the new service, thinking there ought to be more such ice cream vans. He was less pleased a moment later when Eddie spied an approaching police car and snatched the can of light ale back from the man.
