Details: Lesa Lee was the head teller at Home Savings Bank near Pembroke, Florida near Miami. In December 1990, it was noticed that more than $175,000 was missing from Lesa's teller vault. Lesa claimed that she had taken it to give to a man threatening to harm her children, but when she was given twenty-four hours to replace it, she suddenly vanished. It later discovered by bank auditors that Lesa had made off with additional cash, checks, and money orders from the bank, totaling nearly $500,000.
