The Burning Rock was a clan of Dathomiri Nightsisters. Their village was destroyed by a clan of Light Side witches under the leadership of Jaina Wyn, but their Clan Mother's life was spared. Sira Ves was among their number; her teachings would later be used by La-Reia Beorht, Ember Rekali and Brembla Kol-Rekali. This incident - and the increased strength of the Red Hills Clan - prompted the Burning Rock Clan to relocate across the ocean. They used old Imperial craft and wooden ships to travel to an ancient stone city, situated on a small island near an uninhabited continent.
