34 Cygni, otherwise known as P Cygni, is a hypergiant star of B1la+ spectral classification located in the Cygnus constellation, 6269 light-years from Earth at 20h17m right ascension at the galactic coordinates of ℓ43.5978 by b -19.5350 in the fringes of the Sagittarius Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy. It was highly unusual in that it was one of the few hypergiants to have a planetary star system. 34 Cygni would remain an artifact of interest for the Covenant Astrological Ministry, until later it would become a battlefield in the embittered Galactic War of the early 27th century.
