Introduced in 1992, the Roller Woody and its 1A counterpart, the Sleep Machine, took the ball bearing axle and gap adjustment system of the SB-2 and places them in a wooden body to create the first ball bearing wooden yo-yos. Originally offered in both varnished and painted maple finishes, the Imperial-shaped Roller Woody was later offered in exotic laminates and various custom paint schemes. To this day, the Roller Woody and Sleep Machine yo-yos are fine performers that offer the smoothness of ball bearing technology in a traditional wooden form factor.
