Blacksmith (original French name Schtroumpf Forgeron) is a Smurf character who appears occasionally in the comic book. He is a Smurf who works in the village forge. He uses hammer, anvil, and forge furnace for shaping metals. He first appears in the background during "The Smurfs' Garden" (part of the "The Olympic Smurfs" album). While Handy Smurf used a forge in some stories, this Smurf appears in the same scene as him, thus being a different character.
