I created a new welcome template, , which is a slightly updated of form of . With it, you no longer have to sign your name or enter a user's name; and the link to your talk page actually works. The following is a usage comparison between the two templates: Before: Sample user, {{subst:welcome}} &mdash ~~~~ Now: {{subst:welcome2|Yourusername}} Replace the "Yourusername" text with the user name of the poster, not the receiver.
