It was formed in 1981, as Midland Red East with the breakup of the old Midland Red bus company, and then became known as Midland Fox in 1984. It is now part of Arriva Midlands. Arriva Fox County run services across the Leicester area plus services to/from Loughborough, Coalville, Hinckley, Melton Mowbray, Market Harborough and Burton upon Trent. Arriva has depots in Leicester, Coalville, South Wigston, Hinckley and Swadlincote (which is used for the X2 plus 217 & 218 Sunday services)
