Aedna was once known as Bernie the lovable Alsatian and had a popular TV series in the 1950s. Each week, kids would tune in to see the adventures of Bernie the Alsatian and watch him take on evil doers. There was also a line of lunch boxes dedicated to him. It was in the mid 1950s when Bernie's attention seaking behavior took a turn for the worst. In front of a live studio audience, Bernie turned on Joey (a young co-star) and mauled him in front of horrified onlookers. Bernie was shot by law enforcement officers shortly after.
