Xaphan L'andariel, the Ruby Prince of Andaria, is the son of Topaz Empress Nina Heeate L'andariel and Ruby Emperor Malphas d'Xuvadon, and member of the House of Andariel and the Ruby Legion in the Fourth Age. A knight known as a fierce combatant, he often participates in gladiatorial tournaments for the thrill of battle and to improve his fighting skills. Xaphan's position as the potential heir apparent to both the Ruby Legion and the Topaz Legion due to his parentage has caused some controversy within the Andarian Empire as his rise to power could upset the delicate balance between the four High Legions.
