Mr. Bobinsky lives in the top flat of the Pink Palace Apartments and once trained as a gymnast, (explaining the flexibility he shows in the film) and lives on a steady diet of beets, which he once offered to Coraline with the claim that it'll make her strong. Mel Jones believes him to be drunk, and Coraline instead believes him crazy when he mentions his mouse circus, but later calls him eccentric instead.
