A Real-Time Strategy game (often abbreviated RTS) is a game in which the player controls units on a battlefield from the point of view of a general. This is a different category of games from First Person Shooters (FPSes), Massively Multiplayer Online games (MMOs) or Role Playing Games (RPGs). Supreme Commander is an RTSG.
