Russell Lightbrad, also known as the Bishop of the White Night, is Isaac's father and the Sage of Light. He has blonde hair like his son and wears white robes and a white Wizard-type hat. During a battle with the Diva of the Twilight, Russell is badly wounded and passes his Wand down to Isaac, who uses it to free the other Sages and eventually defeat the Diva. Russell only pretends to be under the Diva's control, he uses this pretend state of incapacitation to fight his son to see if Isaac is worthy of being the new Sage of Light. At the end of the story, if the canonical ending is received, Russell's wounds are healed by his wife and he passes his Sage title to Isaac.
