The mission of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) is to combine the efforts of its fourteen member states to ensure a peaceful atmosphere of political stability, democracy, good governance and respect for human rights in the Community. SADC's members include Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
