852996 Max is a set that contains a minifigure version of the LEGO Club mascot, Max. This minifigure looks different from Max as seen the LEGO Club magazines. His pants are unique to this set, as they are the only ones in production with pockets on the sides. This set was only available for a limited time as a promotion for the LEGO VIP members. He was also given out at a club event at LEGOLAND Windsor on October 1, 2011.
