The Wellington-class was a Federation class XI light cruiser starship in Starfleet service in the 24th century, becoming active on reference stardate 2/8802. These vessels were produced, about three per year, at Vannis, Troyius and Argelius Shipyards. The Wellington vessels crewed 175, with space to carry 50 Starfleet Marines troops for deployment. Additionally, the Wellington could carry 5,000 metric tons of cargo, rated at 100 SCU (standard cargo units). Unloaded, the Wellington vessels weighed 165,475 metric tons and measured 175 meters in length, 62 meters in width and 37 meters in height.
