Martelle Elsie Murphy (née Giles; 5 January 1886 - 6 June 1998) was an American supercentenarian. She was born in Cornish York, Maine on 5 January 1886 as the daughter of Frank and Josephine Mills Giles. She married Jeremiah Murphy in Wareham, Plymouth, Massachusetts on 28 November 1917. The couple had three children: Frances, Jeremiah and a stillborn daughter. She was widowed in 1967. Martelle Murphy died in Wareham, Plymouth, Massachusetts on 6 June 1998, aged 112 years, 152 days.
