An angry cub found with a stone bane in his mind, forcing him to rationalize things to his world view, Matt had since been cleansed, but the damage had been done. A series of unfortunate occurrences, culminating with an act of charach against an intoxicated cub, and his subsequent evasion of punishment led to his culling.
