Ku'Urtz was a planet with an Invid Hive and Genesis Pit on it. During the war between the Robotech Masters and the Invid, a Zentraedi garrison was sent there. Over time, they became victims of Protoculture depletion. Volram took charge of the remnants and took over the Hive after the Invid vacated the planet, and many were mutated by the Pit. The outcasts, which included a wing of Female Power Armor pilots, began to breed naturally. The outcasts, at the time of the Fourth Robotech War, numbered over 600 while Volram had 800 warriors left.
