The 42nd Assault Corps was a division of the stormtrooper corps in the Galactic Empire. The 42nd Corps was originally formed during the Clone Wars, where it was comprised of Republic clone troopers. It was assigned to many worlds, including Bassadro, Mirgoshir and Uyter, and was stationed on Arcopola with Jedi General Velus Trinn when Order 66 was transmitted. Trinn was executed without hesitation, and the 42nd Corps successfully subjugated the planet in the name of the newly-proclaimed Emperor.
