In the aftermath of the battle the group are returning home in Tony's jet, all confused and tired by the events of the day. Cap announces the group is HYDRA, not realising they had been dead for 70 years. The other's realise he is correct, and if HYDRA is looking for alien technology, Thor suggests that this group helps protect the world and Tony agrees to fund this temporary team, which Wasp names 'The Avengers'.
